Rising early this morning was difficult after the previous late night.
The morning greeted us with warm weather, sunshine, and clear skies. The exact opposite of when we arrived to this city in the evening.
Good Morning, a new sun, a fresh day, a cools greeting, today is the last day in the beautiful city of Lviv.
Juliana and I started our morning early with a delicious breakfast at El Greco (a small Greek restaurant located in the Rynok Square). We ordered pita bread with some sausage and sauces on it. It doesn’t sound like much but it was undeniably delicious.
We decided to then stop by the Lviv Chocolate Factory for some dessert. The place has a rooftop café overlooking many beautiful cathedrals and buildings. You can also buy various souvenirs and coffee on the middle floors. Whatever you can imagine to be done with chocolate can be found here! Chocolate coffee, chocolate cake, chocolate candies, various chocolate souvenirs and figures made of chocolate…and much more! On the ground floor there is a cozy cafe where you can enjoy delicious coffee and sweets. Juliana and I were the only ones at the top and it was really quiet and nice. We ordered a mix of dark, milk, and white chocolate where we dipped our bananas that we bought at a market earlier that morning. I also bought myself a Latte and a chocolate cake with nuts. Both were amazing, the latte is one of the best I have tried!

Since today was the last day in Lviv, we decided to visit a cathedral that was a little outside of the main square. Once we got back to the square, we visited another rooftop café. We didn’t eat there because we were running low on time so we just took a few pictures and left. The both of us headed back to our room to pack up our things before we head to our next destination.
And now here I am, aboard a train departing to Shepetivka where Oleg (the one from Poninka) will pick us up to stay at his house for the night.
It was definitely difficult waking up this morning. We headed downstairs to eat breakfast before our day begins. After breakfast, we got our energy for the day and the four of us headed to the circus!

Diana, Alex, Juliana, and I started our day with a morning swim in the Black Sea. The water was cold at first but once you’re in it, it’s perfect. There were a few small, clear jellyfish swimming around us but according to the locals, those are the stingless jellyfish so we will be fine (hopefully).
After we got back from the beach, Diana, Juliana, and I started preparing for lunch. We decided to make Zuppa Toscana, one of my favorite Italian soups. After lunch, we started getting ready for our next adventure.
Juliana and I woke up early in the morning and took a walk to the Black Sea with Oxana (my stepmom’s niece). It was a quick walk to the beach; about a 5-minute walking distance. We didn’t go swimming because we were only planning to be there for a short period of time today. However, I took a nice little walk along the beach. The water wasn’t warm but it wasn’t too cold either. In the hot weather, the water would be perfect. One thing I learned is that Odessa is referred to as the “Pearl of the Black Sea” and is the largest city along the Black Sea (cool little fact).
When we got back to the house, we all had lunch and then Diana, Alex, and I headed with Oleg (stepmom’s brother) to visit his Dentist office. The dentist office is not one that you would typically imagine like in America, but in a good way. Oleg works in a private practice. He only had one patient come in that day and then the three of us each got a deep clean. My mouth felt so clean and refreshed.
After we wrapped things up at Oleg’s office, we just headed to the supermarket before we got back to his house. We had a delicious dinner before we got ready for bed. Today was a short day but we need the rest because we have a busy day ahead of us.
Good Night World!
